Charles Felix Lindberg
Charles Felix Lindberg was a very successful merchant who run a huge shipping company in Gothenburg in the end of the 1900th centuary. When he died he left a considerable amount of money which he gave to the city of Gothenburg. In accordance with his last wishes, the money have been used to maintain and build parks and avenues but also to finance statues, like for instance the monument of Poseidon on Götaplatsen. This is a statue of Lindberg, as he walks through a park named after himself. If he could see the cherry-blossom I bet the look of his face would have been different.
